  3. 200% right Rishi. Its all about people and ONLY people.

The fact is that in our race for numbers and targets and everything else, we forget all those who really matter and where all of it is coming from.

And what an amazing movie, it was. The other bit to take away from this flick was, the entrepunerial spirit, the ability to create opportunities. And that happens by listening and therefore knowing.. which Rocket Singh take all those risks, which are so not random but informed.

Recall readding this one a long time back…”If you are in business you are in the people business”!!

    • As always, you have said it brilliantly, Yasmeen. I remember writing for an in-house company journal in my previous assignment – “For us, human comes before resource”. I think that’s the crux of any business, specially ours.

And you are so right! I loved the movie as a whole; it reminded me of the entrepreneurial spirit you and I brought to the start-up we built with our own hands. Don’t you agree?

  4. I have always believed the fact. When i worked for hypercity , my store manager always spoke about “sales figures” , “targets”, “achievement” “loyalty cards” etc . I never heard him saying “make your customer happy”. I believe if a customer is happy with the service , sales always gonna get increased.
Same goes with associates also , if a team is happy ,then it will deliver , always.

    • Very well put. In fact, you have summed it up really well with your own relevant experience. More often than not, we forget that it’s our people whose commitment and efforts deliver numbers, not vice versa.
